The councilor of Pedanías y Barrios, Marco Antonio Fernández, has responded to the PSOE that "it is only necessary to recount the works carried out in El Palmar since 2015 to prove that they do not tell the truth and deny the lack of investments in this district."
"We must also take into account the budget allocated to this Municipal Board that has gone from 378,086 euros in 2014 to 697,298 euros in 2018, which represents an increase of 84%," said the councilor.
Regarding the investments made in the last four years, Fernández has stressed that "the different departments have invested more than 1.46 million euros in El Palmar since 2015".
Thus, among the works carried out, the construction of the cobbled pedestrian path in the Ciudad de La Paz park, the adaptation of the outdoor area of ​​the Senior Center and the Rosalía de Castro Women's Center, the installation of a multisport track in Jardín de la Paz and in the street Cronista Carlos Valcárcel, and of a mini sports track in the Gabriel Lujan Caballero Garden "
In addition, road and sidewalk improvement works have been carried out on Artemisa Street, Finca Mayayo, Somala Castle, Ramón y Cajal, Las Palmeras Avenue, Primero de Mayo Avenue, Mayor Street, Las Viñas Square, Ceres Street, Altamira Street , Cervantes street and Salvado Dalí street, among others.
There have also been works to improve and repair four public schools in the district: CEIP Santa Rosa de Lima, CEIP Gloria Fuertes CEIP José M.ª Párraga and CEIP Los Rosales.
Other important works carried out during this period have been the improvement of the supply of the La Paloma deposit, the extension of the sewerage network in Carril Torre Piñero and various improvements in the Los Chorletes garden, Almela Costa garden, street garden Raft, Gloria Fuertes garden, Pedro Cano avenue garden, Primero de Mayo street garden, José María Párraga painter square and Arrixaca residential garden, among others
