Murcia pays tribute to the excellence of chef Pablo González-Conejero and his team at La Cabaña (11/12/2019)

José Ballesta: "Gastronomy reflects the identity of a people and you, every day, from your kitchen, represent the culture of our land, the essence of Murcia, and you do it from excellence."

During the event, a commemorative plaque was delivered to celebrate that the Murcian chef has revalidated his two Michelin Stars.

Together with his team, Pablo González-Conejero is one of the chefs who will participate in 'La Huerta de los 1.0001 flavors', the program that Murcia will host as the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy 2020.

The mayor of Murcia, José Ballesta, together with members of the Municipal Corporation, received this morning the Murcian chef Pablo González-Conejero, co-owner of the Cabaña Buenavista restaurant, in El Palmar, which has revalidated its two Michelin stars for the third consecutive year.

The mayor of Murcia congratulated the Murcian cook, who attended the event accompanied by about twenty members of his team.

“The city of Murcia wants to recognize your excellence, reward your effort and give you back how much you are giving to this land,†said José Ballesta, who added that “gastronomy reflects the identity of a people and you, every day, from your kitchen , you represent the culture of our land, the essence of Murcia, and you do it from excellence, being the best among the good ones â€.

Innovation and international projection from La Cabaña

"For Murcia it is an honor to have professionals like Pablo Conejero, who will participate with his team in the programming of Murcia as the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy, where they will show the innovation of their cuisine, whose projection is already international," said the Murcian councilor.

Pablo González-Conejero will be one of the chefs who participate in 'La Huerta de los 1.0001 flavors', the program that Murcia will host as the Spanish Capital of Gastronomy in 2020.

In this regard, the mayor of Murcia recalled that “each of the mayors and mayors of the Region have been invited to participate in this celebration of Murcian cuisine†and said that “Murcia will host 45 gastronomic days dedicated, exclusively, to each Municipality of the Region â€.

“Our desire is that this event reaches the entire Region of Murcia.

We want it to be an open and participatory celebration in which we show Spain and the whole world what we are capable of doing in our Region of Murcia in gastronomic matters â€.
