All strangers is a novel inspired by the author's family, without ceasing to be a work of fiction.

With a very personal narrative style, loaded with cultural and temporal references that place the facts to make them recognizable and characteristic of each historical moment, we are presented with the various characters that offer a version of the same event and the effects that it has been producing in its own existence, conforming it and diverting it from its intentions, without really knowing what the ultimate reasons for its actions and decisions are.

Although it might seem like an outdated classification, this is a thesis novel, because it reflects on at least three fundamental questions: The first one is how children never get to know what are the deep reasons that impel their Parents to act one way or another.

The second is the influence that violence and wars have on the future of the lives of people who do not intervene in them or are not even on the scene of them.

The third question refers to the fact of living expatriates.

As much as an immigrant blends in with the place of receipt will always be a foreigner and a foreigner looked suspiciously, hence the appointment of George Eliot.

Middle East, Catalonia, Morocco at the time of the Spanish protectorate are the places where the characters move, that is their space.
