The City Council is carrying out the review and updating of the inventory of more than a thousand planters located in the city of Murcia and its districts.

In this way, a team of operators of the Department of Urban Development is traveling street by street the districts of Murcia, as well as those of the capital.
Currently, there are different types of planters, with a figure higher than a thousand, among which are those that are round, square plastic forges with the logo of the City of Murcia, concrete or artificial stone.
These elements are also located in different parts of Murcia, such as Avenida de la Libertad or Plaza Santo Domingo.
“In addition to their decorative function, they also serve to cordon off spaces and ensure the safety of citizens in situations of restricted traffic, avoiding abuses or possible attacks, since they make it difficult to access the spaces,†recalls José Guillén.
Thus, from the City Council of Murcia work is being carried out to constantly improve the green areas of Murcia, as well as their different elements, as is the case of the aforementioned planters as they improve the safety and quality of life of citizens.
