The first professional 3x3 basketball league will start in the Plaza del Cardinal Belluga (13/06/2019)

Murcia will be the city in which the Herbalife 3x3 Series, the first professional 3x3 Basketball League, organized by the Spanish Basketball Federation, Madison and the Department of Sports and Health, directed by Felipe Coello.

A total of 64 teams will participate in a competition that will be held on the weekend of June 28 and 29 in the Plaza del Cardenal Belluga as the main track and the Plaza de la Cruz Roja, as a secondary track.

The presentation was attended by the Councilor for Sports and Health, Felipe Coello;

Fernando Romay, ambassador of the Spanish Basketball Federation;

Isabel Mateos, director of Madison Sports Marketing;

and Juan Carlos Hernández president of the basketball federation of the Region of Murcia

With free admission for all fans who want to enjoy the show, the tournament will stage great players nationally and internationally and will feature a full program of animation with music, contest of mates and triples, and all the show that distills the 3x3 basket

In addition, it should be noted that one of the main values ​​of the circuit lies in equality since the distribution of prizes will be equitable in both the male and female categories, so the Herbalife 3x3 Series is committed to promoting and promoting equality gender in sport.

In addition, the winners will receive a wildcard to compete in the FIBA ​​World Tour tournaments.

The 3x3 basketball is a discipline that will officially become Olympic next year and consists of short ten-minute matches and 3-on-3 teams. The matches will be played over two days, Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. under the official rules and competition bases of the International Basketball Federation.

It will be open to all absolute categories from 16 years and will have 32 male and 32 female teams.

After this first tournament, the series will move on July 12 and 13 to Gijón.

Prior to the outcome, it will land in Tarragona on the 19th and 20th of the same month.

Barcelona will be the city in charge of hosting the Grand Final Master, on July 26 and 27.

The event will have a national impact as it will be broadcast live on RRSS-Live Streaming, the web and social networks of the Spanish Basketball Federation and Herbalife 3x3 Series, as well as sports media.
