The Guadeloupe soccer field and the padel courts of the JC1 sports complex will have new artificial turf (11/06/2019)

The City Council will carry out expansion and installation of artificial turf at the 7 de Guadalupe soccer field and renewal of artificial turf pavement on nine padel courts at the JC1 sports complex.

The first project consists of the installation of artificial synthetic grass pavement in an approximate area of 2,700 square meters.

Likewise, a new field will be created on the existing one of soccer 7 with a size of playing field of 52.50 x 37.00 meters for football, with grass bands of 1.50 meters on the sides and 2.70m-2, 00m.

The artificial turf allows intensive use of the installation, unlike natural grass, whose maximum utilization ratio is around 10 hours per week.

It also provides a boat and ball speed, absorption of impacts, resistance to ultraviolet rays and protection against muscle overloads and injuries, such that the Royal Spanish Football Federation are beginning to accept only artificial turf facilities of these characteristics.

The works, which will develop the commercial Constu-Archena for 110,603 euros within a maximum period of two months, are part of the Extraordinary Investment Plan in Pedanías, coordinated by the Department of Pedanías, Participation and Decentralization, directed by Marco Antonio Fernández.

In the case of the padel courts of the sports complex of Juan Carlos I, the renovation of the artificial turf will involve an investment of 38,341 euros and the works will be carried out by Construcciones Urdecón within 15 days.

In this case, the file is processed by the Department of Sports and Health, directed by Felipe Coello.
