The City Council promotes the hiring of unemployed people with a call for grants of 300,000 euros (24/05/2019)

The beneficiary companies must have hired minors under 30 enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System, over 45 years of age, long-term unemployed, women and men from single-parent families, people with disabilities, students trained in the Employment Service of the City Council, women victims of gender violence or people with difficulty entering the labor market

The Governing Board has given the green light to the call and bases for the granting of subsidies for the creation and promotion of employment and self-employment in the municipality, amounting to 304,500 euros.

The main objective is to facilitate and support the hiring of unemployed people, including internship contracts, and the creation of employment by registering in the Special Scheme of Self-Employed Workers who carry out activities either on their own account or enter economy companies social, for a minimum of twelve months.

For hiring, SMEs and micro-SMEs that develop their activity may be beneficiaries of this activity, whether as an individual, a community of assets, social economy companies (cooperatives, labor companies), commercial companies, non-profit entities or insertion companies , whose tax domicile or work center is located in the municipality of Murcia.

For self-employment, these grants may be accessed by individuals, members of property communities or civil societies and partners who join social economy companies, by registering in the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers and whose tax domicile or work center is find in the municipality of Murcia.

The period of eligible contracts will be between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019.

The City of Murcia intends with these aids to promote the hiring and creation of companies of the most vulnerable people in the labor market, so that people hired or registered in the self-employed regime must meet any of the following requirements:

- Under 30 years enrolled in the National Youth Guarantee System.

- Over 45 years old.

- Long-term unemployed people.

(More than twelve months uninterruptedly registered as unemployed, in the last eighteen months).

- Women / men from single-parent families with family responsibilities.

- Persons with disabilities equal to or greater than 33%.

- Students trained in the Employment Service of the City of Murcia, in the last three years, in Certificates of Professionalism of any level.

- Women victims of gender violence.

- People with difficulty entering the labor market.

The aid will range between 1,500 and 3,000 euros, depending on whether it is temporary part-time or full-time, 4,500 euros if it is full-time permanent contracts and 3,000 euros for self-employed workers.
