A total of 13 tunas will act during the five days that make up the XXXII International Competition of Tunas Costa Cálida, from Monday 22 to Friday 26 April.

In this edition, which will feature journalists Alfonso de la Cruz and Carmen María Vicente as Gran Maestre and Madrina respectively, Grupo Canario La Trova has been invited.

In addition, Murcia and visitors can enjoy the music of tunas arrivals from Portugal, Peru and Colombia that are added to the performances of the Murcian, Tenerife, Elche and Canarian groups.

The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, explained that "this contest is already an unmissable event of our Spring Festival program." Murcians can enjoy music from the tunas at different points in the city. , at the same time, the members of the foreign tunas will become ambassadors of Murcia in their land ".

The poster announcing this edition is an oil painting made in 2015 by Rosana González on Forrest's engraving published in 1879 by the Spanish and American Enlightenment that was commissioned by Félix Martín Ságarra.

It shows the visit of the Estudiantina de Medicina de Madrid to the carnival of Rome in 1879 offering a parade in the imperial city and a banner with the text 'La tuna' can be seen while pandereteros are in different phases of execution of their instruments.
