Entrepreneurship and leadership, priorities for UCAM students (18/03/2019)

The Journey to Talent project of the UCAM in which 60 students have participated, affirms that young people look for a job that allows them to develop as people, with a high level of responsibility, where values ​​are important, and allows them to create a better world

San Antonio Catholic University has concluded the fourth edition of the Journey to Talent, a program developed by the Murcia Technological Institute of the UCAM, the result of an agreement with the Banco Sabadell Foundation and together with the company La Era de los Valientes, with which it is intended to give an answer to the future work of young people.

With an attractive methodology and dynamic tools, students work on their personal and professional growth guided by an expert coach that facilitates self-knowledge.

The objective is that they clearly define their work objectives and develop strategies that allow them to achieve them.

María Meseguer, coordinator of projects at the company La Era de los Valientes, says that "the highlight of this edition is the involvement that the boys have had, and after making a trip to talent, 84% of the participants say they know clearly. what is your ideal job, 78% are clear about the route to follow and 83% of them are sure that they will reach their goal ".

On the other hand, César Nicolás, executive director of the ITM, organizer of the program, affirms that "our objective is always to facilitate the insertion in the work world of our students and with Viaje a Talento we do it through a greater self-knowledge that allows us to improve their employability ".

The regional director Murcia West of Banco Sabadell Gloria Abellán, was happy that with this program the students have improved their motivation with respect to the future work, "I have seen how they have worked their skills so they see feasible to achieve their employment goals and this is the main purpose of our agreement with the UCAM "

In this fourth edition, in which 60 students have participated, the employment observatory conducted after the program concludes that the values ​​sought in the work are in order of preference they like and have fun, followed by allowing them to develop as people, to help to the rest of society, which makes it possible to reconcile work and family life, which is well paid, has a high degree of learning and is creative.
