Rotaract Murcia carries out'Una Navidad Solidaria' helping children and sick people (13/12/2018)

This organization has made this morning, along with the Councilor Rebeca Perez, a solidarity activity in the Hospital of La Arrixaca in which they have donated educational materials and school to the Hospital Classroom and have surprised with gifts to children who are hospitalized

The Councilor for Infrastructure, Public Works and Services visited the Virgen de la Arrixaca Hospital this morning to support a charity initiative promoted by Rotaract Murcia.

Rotaract Murcia, faithful to its commitment and its work based on solidarity, is carrying out various Christmas activities to help those who need it most during these important dates.

This morning Rotaract has carried out an activity to help those patients who are admitted, and so that their stay in the hospital can be as pleasant as possible.

This year, the councilor Rebeca Pérez, has represented Mama Noel, giving all participants a gift.

In addition, didactic and school material has been donated to the Hospital Classroom.

Rotaract also collects food for the Neri Association, which establishes a daily breakfast service, in which more than 300 deliveries are made.

The 'Kilo Solidario' campaign is being carried out in various faculties of the University of Murcia.

It will be available until December 18.

It is also organizing solidarity activities with children at risk of exclusion such as the creation of letters or the arrival of Santa Claus.

Other collaborations by Rotaract Murcia

Rotaract Murcia maintains a close collaboration with the university clinical hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca, either through annual projects or others such as the case of 'Pincelhadas' in the day hospital.

This last project is aimed at increasing aspects of comfort and humanization, and is divided into two phases.

The first, already made, 'Windows to the World' with the installation of vinyls on the 4th floor - treatment rooms - that imitates windows open to various landscapes, to achieve greater patient welfare.

And the second, in which performances will take place in the waiting room of the 3rd floor, turning it into a natural space with scenery of a forest and various green areas, with the aim of getting a friendlier hospital.

They have also carried out the 'If you beat you win' campaign, donating 1,000 rubber balls, which help reduce the stress level of people who have to visit the hospital.

In addition to these projects during the year 2018, the club has carried out different activities for various collectives such as the solidary ballpoint #JuntosTEAy help for ABAMUR, the film festival with children from different collectives, hospices and associations, Navicena with the aim of preparing menus for Christmas Eve for families without resources and at risk of exclusion and Naturact aimed at children so they can know nature through a visit to Terra Natura.
