"Insecurity in the bus station" (20/11/2018)

The Murcia bus station is equipped with modern facilities that allow to satisfy the needs of the most demanding traveler with the most sophisticated information systems and has free WiFi access areas for the use of users.

Advertizing on the Internet, where they say that security has always been a matter of priority, but if we analyze all these guarantees they offer in their services, we would have to realize that something is wrong here, and the questions would be the what and why.

Let's analyze the detrimental event that occurred in the station that led to the rape of a disabled girl in the toilets of the same, where we find slots where no movement of passengers is perceived, this being the ideal time to perpetuate any act criminal.

Being aware of this type of facilities, the first thing I see is that the security of this station is totally depleted, without any effectiveness, as this usually has a low presence of Private Security agents followed by the lack of resources that suffer these professionals in this type of services, giving rise to the fact that the goods and people they have to watch over, are impossible to carry out.

Urgent measures should be taken in places like these and not allow something as terrible as what happened to happen again and all due to the absence of security, since it becomes the ideal place to commit criminal acts.

On the other hand, we must not forget that we are in a four warning of terrorist attack.

The company that manages the station, the one that boasts first quality security services, is the same one that spares security, hiring the cheapest companies, with fewer staff and resources.

In fact, the cuts have been more than evident for a few years to this part, since previously there was more presence of these professionals and today, are virtually non-existent.

We know that total and integral security is not possible, but if all the necessary measures are taken to cover these types of spaces, this case could possibly have been avoided, as well as many others that occur daily.
