21 spaces of Murcia will host shows of the 17th TítereMurcia Festival to be held from 9 to 19 November (19/10/2018)

10 of the 44 functions planned in the program can be enjoyed free of charge in outdoor spaces.

Pacheco has underlined 'the work carried out during all these years by UNIMA Murcia, until getting our city also known and recognized for the quality and innovation of Títeremurcia'.

Between 9 and 19 November, the seventeenth edition of the International Puppet Theater Festival of the Region of Murcia, Títeremurcia, promoted by UNIMA Murcia, will be held, which will offer shows in 21 spaces of the municipality, as well as in seven other of the region .

On this occasion the contest grows both in the municipalities and participating spaces and the number of functions, which increase by 30%.

Thus, for 10 days, 12 national and 4 international companies will show 18 puppet shows and objects totaling 44 functions, 31 for family audiences, 2 for youth and adult audiences and 8 for school audiences during school hours. of 4 workshops for shadow theater boys and girls.

The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco, underlined 'the work carried out during all these years by UNIMA Murcia, until our city is also known and recognized for the quality and innovation of Títeremurcia'.

In the case of Murcia, the festival can be followed one more year at the Circo and Bernal theaters, auditoriums and cultural centers, in addition to the Pupa Clown Scenic Center or Centro Párraga, and this year the La Madriguera de Beniaján Association is added for the first time .

Similarly, 10 of the 44 functions can be enjoyed in outdoor spaces for free, five of them for the first time: the Garden of Palms, the Plaza de San Pío X, the Plaza de los Patos and the Garden of the Constitution in Murcia.

And they repeat the plaza of the Cultural Center of Guadalupe, the Municipal Center of La Arboleja, the Plaza del Teatro Romea, the Artillery Barracks, the Plaza de Santiago Apóstol in Santiago and Zaraíche and the Plaza de Santo Domingo in Murcia.

Among the parallel activities, Títeremurcia offers this year, thanks to the sponsorship of the Casanova Trinitarian Foundation, four Shadow Theater workshops for children, to be held at the Foundation's headquarters on November 9 and 10.

Tickets for the shows range from € 3 to € 12 and are now on sale on the festival website www.titeremurcia.com and at the ticket offices of the stage spaces where each show is scheduled.

For all ages

The programming will satisfy people of all ages.

Of this form, between the offer directed to the adult and juvenile public it emphasizes the work of the French company the Pendu e Tria Fata and Del Lazarillo de Tormes, that will be seen in the Circus Theater.

For the family audience, the hands up! (Hands up!) By the Dutch artist Lejo (Teatro Circo Murcia), Antón Retaco, from the renowned company Osirse Puppeteers of Befar, will be performed at the Municipal Auditorium of Beniaján, Luz Years ( Auditorium Cabezo de Torres), Jon Braun, Anita Maravillas company (Auditorium of La Alberca), The Parachute, Stephen Mottram (Center Párraga) or The Adventures of Pinocchio (Teatro Bernal).

For street shows, 4 companies will represent 6 free shows in different locations in the city of Murcia and districts.

Tent-cabaret in the Plaza of the Apostles

Also on the street, and as a novelty, on November 9, 10 and 11, the French company Théâtre Jaleo will install a cabaret-cabaret in the Plaza de los Apóstoles where they will represent the work Eden, which will cost 6 euros. €

The school campaign is formed by the 4 shows represented in the municipal auditoriums: Antón Retaco, Años Luz, Jon Braun and The true story of the three little pigs.

Each one is presented in 2 passes during exclusive school hours for schools.

The festival has a wide list of spaces and theaters in the Region that make up 31 locations where the festival's activities take place.
