More than 700 people use the libraries of Murcia Parque and Alquerías in just one month and a half (16/08/2018)

The libraries of Murcia Parque and Alquerías have hosted 704 users in just one month and a half of operation.

Murcia Park Park, which today has visited the Councilor for Education and Heritage, Rafael Gomez, have recorded 787 readings and 463 users, of which 444 have read the press, 321 books and 22 games of logic and knowledge.

Of the total number of readings, 324 were juveniles and adults and 139 were children.

In relation to the type of preferred readings, in adults there is a clear decantation by the daily press and periodicals.

The total number readings have been about 275 of the press and about 158 ​​of journals.

Regarding the most borrowed from the children's reader, it was first of all the games of 'Abremente de 2 a 11 años', borrowed on 22 occasions;

'Peppa Pig games at school' with 23 readings;

'Caillou' with 19 readings;

'Where is Wally?'

with 16 readings;

'Spiderman' with 12 readings;

'Mortadelo y Filemón' with 10 readings;

'The Simpsons' with 10 readings;

and 'The secret of the island of the whales' with 7 readings, among others.

As for the juvenile / adult readers, the most read was 'Chistes de Lepe' with 6 readings;

'Jokes to die of laughter' with 5 readings;

'Be free to love' with 4 readings, 'Understanding depression' with 4 readings;

and 'The practice of yoga' with 3 readings, among others.

Regarding the library of Alquerías, 382 readings and 241 users have been registered, of which 96 have read the press, 268 books and 18 logic and knowledge games.

Of the total number of readings, 102 have been juvenile and adult and 139 infantile.

Regarding the most borrowed from the children's reader, it was first the games of 'Abremente de 2 a 11 años',' ¿Dónde está Wally? ',' La bella durmiente ',' My book sounds!

The castle ',' Caillou ', among others.

As for the youth / adult readers, the most read has been 'Mount Sinai', 'Reinvent yourself and create the life you want', and 'How to fight depression', among others.

In this way the Municipal Library Network of the City of Murcia extends its offer to the municipal swimming pools through the Bibliopiscinas during the months of July and August.

This summer service has as main objectives to promote reading and interest in culture and disseminate the services of this network.

The Bibliopiscinas make available to users of the municipal swimming pools of Murcia-Park and Alquerías a collection of materials (about 350 documents) for all audiences and requiring little time for reading, such as short stories, comics, stories and informative books, as well as local, national and daily sports press and magazines with a varied theme.

To use this free service, only the presentation of any identification document is required.

The provision of Bibliopiscina service began the first week of July and will end next August 31.

It is in operation from Tuesday to Sunday, coinciding with the opening days of the municipal swimming pools between 12:30 and 7:00 p.m.

During the summer of 2017, the Bibliopiscina service operated between July 3 and August 31, and 1,286 users were used who made a total of 1,830 readings.

The Councilor for Education and Heritage, Rafael Gomez, explained that "the reception of the service by users has been good, generating acceptance and recognition among regular bathers of other years and awakening curiosity to new bathers, potential readers."
