Los Molinos del Río shows some thirty pinhole photographs by Damián Lajara (16/07/2018)

The Councilor for Economic Promotion, Culture and European Programs, Jesús Pacheco will attend this afternoon the inauguration, in Los Molinos del Río, of the exhibition 'Stenos Opaios' that shows more than thirty images created by Damián Lajara.

Pinhole photography is one that is done without the use of lenses or other objectives.

The pinhole cameras are handcrafted, they are built with cardboard boxes, cans, match boxes, boats or any device that allows the passage of light to be closed.

It basically consists of a dark chamber with a small hole (pinhole) through which the rays of light that will affect the photographic paper are allowed to enter.

The technique used for each photograph dates from 1850 Sir David Brewster English scientist was the one who coined the term Pinhole (English name pinhole camera).

It is still used by many photographers for the blurry, unique and out of focus images obtained through it.

One of its characteristics is the infinite depth of field that is obtained.
